How to submit a paper for presentation at The British Hip Society

Anyone can submit a paper to the British Hip Society for consideration for presentation at a British Hip Society meeting. The papers submitted must concern the Hip and the officers of the society will decide whether the paper is suitable for presentation (see Info>Constitution above).

There are usually two meetings a year, one around February/March, the other within the British Orthopaedic Association annual congress. In order to present at a forthcoming meeting you need to send an abstract of less than 300 words & on one side of A4 to the Honorary Secretary before the closing date. The next meeting for which papers are sought will be in Manchester in March of 2009 (info), the closing date for submission is TBA. Abstract submission instructions can be found from the link below.

  3. Complete abstract in a word document, include word count
  4. email the abstract back to the BHS
