Dear Member,

As this is my first Presidential newsletter I would like to formally thank our immediate past president, Matt Wilson, for all the amazing work and effort he has put in over the last 12 months. I am sure you’ll agree that BHS26 was a great success. Matt gives some reflections on the meeting below.

I would also like to welcome three new members to the executive committee, Ben Bolland is our new treasurer, Callum McBryde is the NAHR registry representative and James Shelton takes the new role of Chair of the International Development Committee. They all give some background and aims and aspirations in the following sections.

The executive recently met in Manchester for our annual away day meeting, always held at the venue for the next BHS annual scientific meeting, this time at the Manchester Convention Centre. This meeting gives the exec time to plan out activities for the year ahead and there are several exciting projects planned and I will update you all on these in due course.
